      Stan Megdall contemporary blown glass  sculptural forms have explored color, line and assemblage and are distinguished by his unique style of layering color and abstract form. He combines bold brilliant colors in a clean modern style. His work ranges from contemporary single vessels to multipart blown compositions the glass wall art sculptures are designed for table tops or large glass wall art forms displayed in groupings.  
    Using traditional glassblowing methods thousands of years old, Stan creates each piece of glass at the end of a blowpipe. He works the glass at a temperature in excess of 2000 degrees F. The heat and gravity are my basic tools. 

    Stan earned his degree from " Center for Creative Studies " in Detroit. He taught glassblowing for several years at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association and has built his own studio. His studio is now located in Ypsilanti, MI. Over the years he has won several awards and had national recognition for his glass. He works primarily alone however he has trained his father to assist him with some of his work. His fascination is now with abstract flower forms.
